'Old' games that are still worth paying and playing for

With the IT show in Suntec City coming soon, there will be many interesting games being sold there at a disocunt. However, if you are unlucky enough to be on a tight budget(>$40), but still want to buy a really good game, there ARE some games that are cheap ,'old' (released about 2 years ago) and still quite good.

Tom Clancy's EndWar
This game was released in 2008 , and had really boring story plot. The story plot basically involves a 'love' triangele between three countries, where the U.S. whacks Europe who whacks Russia who whacks U.S.. But when the game was released two years ago, it was considered a great game not because of its story, but because the game allows users to command their armies using only your voice via the headset. Plus the graphics for the game was rather good too. So if you would ignore the lousy storyline this game can still be quite fun and worthwhile to play and pay for.

Assasin's Creed
Released in 2007/8 ,this game was hailed by critics as an extremely good game, earning top marks from most of them.  This game also spawned a franchise, with the third game, Assasin's Creed:Brotherhood releasedin 2010. However, despite having improved successors being released, this game is still quite fun to play. And the best advantage it has over its successors is that it is (most probably) cheaper (because of its age...). So if you have insufficent money to buy Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, maybe you can consider buying Assassin's Creed.

Gamespot best of 2010 out

With 2010 coming to an end, Gamespot had its usual vote where people get to vote for the games they think deserve an award.(i did vote of course) The results have been released and unsurprisingly, games like red dead redemption and fifa 11 won some awards. For the best shooter category, the category which I have been looking forward to see the winner,Halo Reach won the gamespot best of 2010 best shooter(which i'm guessing was decided by the experts in gamespot). The readers however, don't seem to concur(for now) as call of duty black ops was leading( at the time i was writting this), followed by battlefield bad company 2 and Halo Reach.
i was totally horrified when halo reach won.i played the multiplayer before and i nearly smashed my controller on my friends head.now don't get me wrong, the reason i didn't like it is wasn't because i got my ass whipped by my friend(i get owned in call of duty and battlefield in xbox live too),i hated because it was so fustrating unable to kill my friend despite hitting him twice or thrice only to get killed when he uses his ulti weapon to whack me once.
Voting ends at 10 jan 2010 so there's still plenty of time.If you are an anti soccer fan and want fifa to crash and burn, u can go to gamesopt and start making your opinion known.(although its unlikely for fifa to lose seeing the 26% lead they have over their nearest rival NBA 2k11.In case u don't know, the website is http://asia.gamespot.com/best-of-2010/introduction/index.html

The different motion control systems in the market

Hello. On November 18, Microsoft released its newest gaming product, the Kinect for the Xbox 360. With this release, it became the third player in the motion control system market, after the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation Move.
History of the motion control system players
It all started in 2005, when Microsoft released the Xbox 360 console .The seventh generation game console era had begun. Playstation replied with the Playstation 3 in 2006 which was similar to the 360, a console with a normal controller.  Nintendo did release their console too in 2006, it was called the Wii. However, Unlike the PS3 and the 360, the Wii was slightly different. The Wii controller required people to move the controller instead of just pressing the buttons. This was something new, and unsuprisingly, the Wii had the best sales of the three consoles , selling 75.9 million units as of September 2010, compared to the 44.6 million for the Xbox 360 and 41.6 million for the PS3.

The Kinect is doing very well currently, with news constantly reporting the Kinect being out of stock.

Now i can't really tell you the pros and cons of each system, but i can give some advice.Firstly, if you have a PS3, jus stick to the Playstation Move.Don't buy a new Xbox console just for the Kinect(Unless you are rich). If you intend to buy a console and love playing games like  FIFA 11 as well as Kinect-type games, don't buy the Wii.(FIFA does not operate on the Wii.

Here's a Price comparison:
Nintendo Wii:$199(with Wii Sports and Wii Sports resort)(taken from the nintendo website)

Wii with Wii Remote(taken from wikipedia .com)
PlayStation®Move Starter Pack(Playstation move controller, software demo, and playstation eye)
$69.90. (Taken from the playstation website)

Interesting Games in 2011

Hi! Now thats the year 2010 is coming to an end, it makes perfect sense to look at what games are coming out in 2011. There are many games that will be released in 2011 thats for sure. However, there is one that I would like to recommend. The games is Shogun 2: Total War.
10 years after Shogun: Total War, the game which kick-started the Total War series, the series will go back to where it started: Japan. I have not actually played the game(as it has not actually been released). However, judging by how its predecessor fared, and by looking at the trailer, I am pretty confident that Shogun 2 will be a hit.Think i'm just crapping around and advertising the game?Well watch the trailer for yourself at Gamespot.com:

I have played one of Shogun 2 's predecessor, Empire: Total War, which was released in 2009. The graphics were amazing, and the battlefield looked like what it should be: chaotic. Other than a few weaknesses like the at times retarded AI, it was a fantastic .
I have heard that the battles in
Shogun 2 will be huge and exciting.
I don't know about you but i definitely
will be buying this game when it comes
out

New Battlefield expansion coming out soon.

If you have played  Battlefield:bad company 2 multiplayer before, then you will be glad to know that a new exapnsion pack of Bad company 2 will be released soon. Its called Battlefield bad company 2 :Vietnam.Set during the Vietnam War, it will feature weapons of that era like the T54 tanks. Here's the link to a multiplayer trailer from Gamespot.com:
 http://asia.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/battlefieldbadcompany2expansionpack/video/6275964/battlefield-bad-company-2-vietnam-multiplayer-demo.

I did play the multiplayer in bad company 2 and it was a blast. The game allows you to do wonderful stuff like killing players just by collapsing the buildings they are in and etc. I will definitely buy this game, especially knowing that i will be able to use the weapons of that era in the game
.-You can pre order the game at the online EA store at a price of $19.90 (only the PC version is available)
